I don’t even know where to start on why and how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new Apple Iphone!!! I first became experienced with the technology of the Apple iPod touch 8 GB without Software Updates back in November 2007. The ipod touch was given to me as a gift and introduced me to a whole new world and was almost the best thing ever invented. In order to use all of the touch’s features you need to be connected to Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity). The touch is built in with the wireless feature and will automatically pick up signal, if the setting are set that way.
In January, Apple put out a software update that added some new applications. It was free to people who owed the iphone but owners of the itouch had to purchase the software upgrade for about $20.00. So of course, I had to have the latest and paid the money for the upgrade. It was worth it, because the upgrade included a mail application, Google maps, home icon arrangements, and gave the option to add multiple pages. My ipod touch than became Apple iPod touch 8 GB with Software Upgrade because the software was added.
dur!
On February 14, 2008, i was upgraded to the Apple iphone 8 GB with software upgrade and this is when my life officially changed. (wink wink). I am no longer using my Motorola RAZR V3xx Pink Phone (AT&T), and now using the most amazing phone ever invented, in my book. I no longer have to be connected to Wi-fi to get all the benefits that the itouch has. It also added a phone and camera to what i was use to, in using the itouch. I now have it all in one and truly am so excited to see what it will bring! WOW, i sound pathetic, don’t I?? Oh well, I’m in love and its with my phone!
It has only been two days since I have been using the iphone, but already know that no one has been able to see my eyes since. My eyes are glued to the screen and I am not sure if I will ever get sick of looking at it?
My co-worker found a program for the itouch/iphone called BeeJive, it is an instant messaging service that connects you to all the major ones out there, such as AIM, Yahoo, MSN, Google Talk, Myspace, Jabber and ICQ. Another IMing sites that I went to from my iphone’s Safari browser was Meebo.com That site too works well for IMing, but I have gotten use to Beejive.
I had Google Maps on my itouch but it was kind of useless when I was not able to use it on the go because I was not connected to Wi-Fi. But now that I am connected all the time because when not in Wi-Fi mode, I am switched to data mode. Data mode is slower than Wi-Fi but it still works. I can now use the Google Maps to find places I need to go and use the GSP system to navigate while driving. I can also do a search for a business location and get the address and phone number, then call the place with a touch of the screen.
I know I will be back on my blog talking much more about the iphone when i start to learn more.
