I decided to opt out of getting the new 3G iPhone, because I had just received the first version, back in February. I was not too excited with the only difference on the new iPhone being 3G and GPS. I wanted a video camera, better features with the camera, being able to view pictures right in my SMS app, rather then have to load a website and enter an username and password (they are difficult to remember) and of course a COPY and PASTE option.
I was excited to know that I would be able to get the new 2.0 firmware, without having to pay anything. Unlike the last firmware upgrade for my iTouch, I had to pay $20 (Google Maps, Home Key management, etc.) I did not think the $20 was worth it but guess that’s why I am a sucker
hehe.
Anyways, back to the reason I am posting this blog. I thought, with not having the new upgraded iPhone with 3G, I was not going to have issues with the battery dying. Was I wrong, on Sunday, I had a full charged battery starting at about 1030a. My phone was dead by 3pm. I am usually able to go all day and still have juice left. I was so sad to know that it had only been 5 hours and my battery on the iPhone was dead. I had downloaded about 10 new applications the night before, but I was not really using them during that 5 hours. I guess for them to be on my home screen, its takes energy?????? Um, strange, well, after that incident I have pleaded to never leave home without my chargers again!!!!
