I went to The Ivy in Beverly Hills last night for dinner, it was quite and there were not any celebrities in site. The last time I was there, Bow Wow was sitting a couple tables away. We sat outside last night and it was the perfect weather, because it was cool and heaters were on. I had ordered the Lime Chicken but held the Lime and added Cajun Sauce instead. It was awesome, very juicy and tasteful. I had never paid attention any other time I had been to The Ivy, but when the bill came, it was brought to my attention that each Grey Goose and Tonic was $16.25. We had been there a few times before but for some reason never realized the price for a drink. We were curious if that was the dinner pricing or if we maybe had always had too much to drink to ever notice?? Or maybe with all the talk of the recession, we are being more cognitive of our surroundings?
The glasses were about 8 oz, how the “L” do they come up with that price being reasonable for a small drink? Not even Mastro’s Steakhouse charges that much for a drink (maybe?)and they are more of a ritzy place. I love doing the Hollywood scene every now and then, but I think I am more amused with how ridiculous it can be. Don’t get me wrong, I will still be attending places like this, but still get a kick out of the hype. Cheers!!!!
