I don’t know what has gotten into to me but my last couple of blogs that I have written have been short reviews of restaurants that I have recently visited. Guess what? I have another restaurant review, this one is about XIV in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. It opened less than two weeks ago and is a hot spot. The atmosphere is very warming, the employees constantly smiling and greetings you throughout your stay. I felt a little over welcomed but I guess that is better then being shined on, right? Our waitress was very attentive along with all of the waiters that brought us our food.
The chef’s recommendation, was for us to try 8-14 meals, I almost wanted to ask the waitress if she was high, it just did not make sense for two people. We ended up going with 7 meals, and each meal was $8.00 per person. Keep in mind if you are going to try this place out, that you will at least be spending $150.00 to enjoy XIV the way it was meant to be. Unlike tapas, where you serve yourself from one plate, at XIV each person is given their own portions, served by the waiters. All the meals that we had were very tasty and filling.
