As I mentioned in my last post, I attended the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2008 this past Saturday at the Gibson Amphitheater. Did I enjoy the show? Yes. Was I rocking out? Yes. Would I have lived if I did not attend the show? Yes. The show was good but it wasn’t anything to get wet over.
I sat in section 11 which was dead center, alllll the way in the back row. The seat location was decent, I was able to see the stage pretty good. Although, I did have some annoying peeps in front of me. The female was up and jumping around like she was the only one in the room. The male just sat there with his head down, as if he was ashamed of the female he brought. LOL. It was funny for a bit until they started boycotting and yelling slurs at AFI. Freaking grow up peeps, if you don’t like them, just sit back and let the others, who do like them enjoy it.
The bands did a great job with performing. I really enjoyed Stone Temple Pilots, Staind and Off Spring. The lead singer for S.T.P. almost fell off the stage, yikes, but he saved himself.
Although, I must admit that an exciting part of my night was people watching. One of my targets was a lady that I was calling grandma. I loved that grandma came by herself and enjoyed herself the whole night. Grandma knew all the lyrics to all the bands song’s and was rocking out with her cane!!!!!!!!
Overall, it was a cool show but I don’t think buying 2 of the four tickets off EBay for $180 each was worth it. (Regular price was $75 each) Now time to get Britney Spears Tickets
