I have been to three Dodger games this season, once for Opening Day, April 13, again on May 2 then again on May 4. This year was the first year that I attended opening day for the Dodgers and it was soooo much fun! Some friends and I rented a party bus and hung out in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium to do a little tailgating. The game was sold out but I think the majority of the people that were there had came to party, rather than to actually watch the game. I know I was one of them, the Dodgers won, but I don’t recall the game.
The game on May 2 against the Padres was firework night. The game was very slow and the score was zero to zero up until the bottom of the 9th inning, when the Dodgers had bases loaded and the Padres walked the batter, forcing the Dodgers to score and win the game 1-0. The firework show was nice and all the fans that were in the lower sections were able to sit on the grass on the field to watch the show.
The game on May 4 was against the Arizona Diamondbacks, this was a much more interesting game. Manny Ramirez and Andre Ethier scored back to back homeruns. Of course this game was prior to Manny being suspended, which is a whole other blog post to talk about.
I’m planning on getting tickets to the Dodger game when they play the Angels. My son is an Angels fan so he is wanting me to take him to the game.
