I upgraded my Facebook app on my iPhone to the 3.0 and I absolutely love it! I am always on Facebook with my iPhone and have never really liked the way the features worked on the 2.0 because they were limited.
You can view and use the “likes it” feature for a status. The profiles are viewed in a cleaner way than it was before. The tabs are on the bottom of the screen for you to navigate to Photos and Info.
The menu screen is also easier to navigate because everything is right in front of you in stead of having to look for it in different sections. It has a similar design to the iPhone home screen. The menu also lets you customize it to “add friends” to a shortcut area for easy viewing of their profile.
Since I just downloaded the app I cant tell if the speed is faster but I hear that it is suppose to be. Another feature is being able to view events when in the 2.0 version it was not even an option to use. Now you can RSVP for events straight on the app rather then having to log onto a computer.
The photo area lets you create new albums and organize photos when before it would only let you upload pictures from your mobile. Another cool feature on the 3.0 app is it allows you to make a straight call to a friend if they have their phone number listed on their profile.
To use a short cut and return to the home screen, just tap on the Facebook logo. If you tap the logo twice, you will return to where you last were.
Overall this application has made a huge improvement and has a user friendly interface!!! Here is another reason I will have, to keep me on my phone ALL DAY LONG!!!!!
