I am not a huge television watcher but use to be about three years ago. I have since went from about 9 favorite TV shows to 1, the one being American Idol. I am a faithful American Idol fan, have been to tapings and watch it religiously. Although, I must confess that I tuned last night into ABC 7 because I wanted to get a glimpse of Dancing with the Stars. DWTS was great and all but I was drawn into the commercials of the next two upcoming shows. The first one being “Modern Family” and the other “Cougar Town.”
I must start by saying that Modern Family was GREAT!!!! I was only about 7 minutes into the show and had not stopped laughing. The set up of the family is perfect, A grandfather/father is married to hot latina half his age, he has two children, one girl married to a man that tries to be hip but is a dork and more of a friend to his kids than a father, and a son that is gay and lives with his partner and they just adopted a baby. I could not believe that I was laughing so much from a TV show. I think the last time I laughed as much as I did was when I watched “Friends.”
“Cougar Town” with Courtney Cox was also a great show. There were so many great one liners that I could not keep track of them all. Some included, “Can we stop sprinting, I feel like my boobs are attacking me” and “Your hot as balls,” not to mention, “I was too busy thinking with my coochie cooch.”
I will for sure be tuning in on whatever days these two shows air. I don’t think they will be airing on Wednesday next week, but whenever they are, I will be watching.
