Yesterday, I attended George Lopez’s talk show “Lopez Tonight.” The tickets are very easy to request, just go to the show’s website at http://www.lopeztonight.com/tickets/ I was only granted stand-by tickets so was unsure if I was going to be able to get in the show. All worked out well, my friend and I were able to get into the taping, although we were in the nose bleed area (but still great viewing).
We waited in freezing Southern California temperature of 50 degrees for about 3 hours. Finally, after being escorted into the studio we were still in cold temperature of about 65 degrees. It was worth it because George Lopez is a great entertainer.
My favorite part of the show was when George Lopez did his stand up. George had a whole segment on Tiger Wood jokes. Take a look:
One of the guest on the show was Clint Eastwood. He seems like a reserved/shy guy with a great sense of humor. Here is a clip from the show:
The funny actress from “Glee,” Jane Lynch was also on the show. Jane was also the store manager in “40 Year Old Virgin.” Here is her segment:
Other guests included performances by Dierks Bentley with Patty Griffin and the Overtone. The whole audience received the new Harry Potter DVD. Overall, the taping of the show was fun and entertaining. The show really made me want to buy tickets for George Lopez concert at the Nokia Theater Dec 27. Who knows, maybe Santa will bring it to me.

Hello there, I also have standby tickets for his show. Did u have to only wait in line and show the confirmation they email you? or have to go somewhere else to pick up the tickets?
Hello. I believe they start taking registration at 10am the day of the taping. They will give you a number (first come first serve). You come back at your assigned time and at that time they will start calling all the people with actual guaranteed seats and taking them in. Once they have all the guarantee seat assigned they will go to the stand by tickets, and start calling the numbers on your tickets to line up. My check in time was at 2p and I checked in about 1p and was still able to get in just fine. Although, I was in the standing area, did not have a seat, but I was still able to get in. If you are not able to get in stand by then they will give you guaranteed tickets to another show. It was actually a very smooth process. I’ve been to tapings for other shows that have been pure hell.
Have fun, George is the best!!!!
